Immigrant Progress Scholarship

The Center for Immigrant Progress is excited to provide a scholarship of $500 to undocumented students pursuing college courses, trade school, or other workforce training programs related to mental health or wellness. Applications are due on June 16, 2023, at 5 pm.

Requirements:
 

  1. Must reside in Illinois and be enrolled for the 23-24 calendar year at an accredited college, university or vocational training program.

  2. Be in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA minimum of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale.

  3. Should demonstrate leadership through community involvement either on or off campus.

  4. Must be undocumented, DACA or TPS holder, high school senior who graduated in May of 2023, or be enrolled in college or vocational training courses for Summer or Fall of 2023.

  5. Minimum of 1 Letter of recommendation. This can be a personal or academic reference and should speak to your character, achievements, and goals. Letters need to be signed and submitted by recommender, in PDF format to sandra@centerforimmigrantprogress.org BY JUNE 16TH.

  6. Complete the form and the required essay portion.

CIP's DACA Renewal Grant

As undocu and DACAmented individuals, we recognize there are several barriers that our communities are facing. To relieve some financial hardship, the Center for Immigrant Progress has raised funds for DACA renewal applicants residing in Illinois.

 

The 2023 application period is now closed, and the scholarship will reopen in Spring 2024.
